2ndLife—A Workforce Computer Literacy Certification

This curriculum will provide documented evidence of student computer literacy skills to potential employers and colleges.  This course is a Mendocino high school graduation requirement designed to give freshman students a broad overview of career and life skills.

Upon successful completion, this program helps each student to demonstrate key competencies required by future employers. This certification provides hiring managers and college admissions offices with a valid assessment tool for making hiring  and admissions decisions.

This certification demonstrates proficiency in:

· Keyboarding & Document Processing

· Desktop Publishing, Graphics & Design

· Financial Management skills

· Presentation Skills

· Interviewing Techniques & Resume Writing
